Terms and Conditions

Last updated 14 August 2026

These terms govern your use of standardthinking.com (the “Site”), operated by Standard Thinking (“we”, “us”). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These terms cover the Site only. Any product, environment, dataset, evaluation or service we provide is governed by a separate written agreement, and nothing here grants access to or rights in any of them.

Use of the Site

The Site is provided for general informational purposes. You may view and share its content for lawful, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • use the Site in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or any connected system;
  • interfere with the Site's operation, including by automated scraping that degrades availability;
  • reproduce, republish or exploit the Site's content commercially without our prior written permission.

Intellectual property

The Site and its contents — text, design, code, and marks — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. The typefaces used on the Site are licensed from their respective foundries and are not licensed to you. No licence is granted except the limited right to view the Site as intended.

No professional advice

Nothing on the Site is financial, investment, legal, tax or other professional advice, and nothing on it is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or financial instrument. Descriptions of our work are general and may be simplified. Do not rely on the Site in making any decision.

Forward-looking statements

The Site may describe research directions, capabilities under development, or intended future work. Those statements reflect our expectations at the time of writing, are not commitments, and may change without notice.

Third-party links

The Site links to third-party sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.

Unsolicited submissions

If you send us ideas, feedback, applications or other materials without our request, you agree we may use them without obligation, compensation or confidentiality. Do not send us anything you consider confidential, or anything you are not free to disclose — in particular, material belonging to a current or former employer.

Disclaimer

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Site. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time by posting a revised version here, with the date above updated. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. The courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
